Wall is a village in north Northumberland, England. The closest town is Hexham and it is near the River Tyne and Hadrian’s Wall. Around about 633 a battle between the Northumbrian and Welsh army’s took place near here, the Battle of Heavenfield was eventually won by the Northumbrians, and was marked by a wooden cross which can be found a road running alongside the Hadrian’s Wall. Other historical buildings near here are Chesters Roman Fort & Brunton Turret. Wall is Eco Cycle Adventures friendly.
