Tynemouth is a town and a historic borough in Tyne & Wear, North East of England, at the mouth of the River Tyne, between North Shields & Cullercoats . It is a famous today for its beautiful award winning beach, Tynemouth Longsands and the Blue Reef Aquarium. The history of Tynemouth dates back 2000 years, from the Iron Age to Victorian times and it attracts visitors from all around the world. To see here is Priory and Castle, Segedunum Roman Fort and Museum which marks the end of Hadrian’s Wall and not far from here, is the coastal town of Whitely Bay, famous for St. Mary’s Lighthouse and Island which is now a visitor centre and attraction.
