Rothbury is a town within Northumberland, England. The town of Rothbury sits on the River Coquet and after it was given market charter in 1291 it became a central point for trading cattle and wool. More recently, Rothbury has become a tourist hub for visitors to the Victorian House & Gardens of Cragside - the former home of Lord Armstrong inventor, Simonside Hills, Blaeberry Hill and the Northumberland National Park. The town is awash with recreational activities, Rothbury Highland Pipe Band, Rothbury Jubille Hall, Rothbury Bowling Club, Rothbury Golf Club have all existed here for some time.
