Leeds

Leeds is a city in the West Yorkshire region of England. Leeds is the third largest in city in the UK and this ever growing city and its foundation was built during the industrial revolution when its growth began with the production of wool amongst other industries. Outside of London, the city is now the largest legal centre in the UK and is growing culturally too. The city is home to Leeds University (in the world’s top 100), Leeds Metropolitan University and Leeds Trinity University. The Arts are very prominent in the city – The Tetley (situated in the old Tetley Tea Brewery) is a Centre for Contemporary Art & Learning but here is also The Grand Theatre & Opera House Leeds and First Direct Arena and are the best places to see what’s on offer. A trip to Harewood House & Gardens, Lotherton Hall, Thackray Museum, Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills and the Royal Armouries Museum Leeds are all worth a trip too. Leeds is also Eco Cycle Adventures friendly and is host to the 2014 Le Grand Depart of the Tour de France.
