Harrogate is a town in North Yorkshire, England. Harrogate is best known for being a spa town after the Iron, Sulphur and Salt rich water was discovered in the 16th century. It was later when the water was associated with having health benefits and it subsequently drew visitors from all around which added to the growth of the town, named then as the ‘The English Spa’. The waters are still enjoyed at Harrogate’s Turkish Baths & Health Spa. Harrogate’s Victorian legacy lives on the the beautiful gardens and parks, Valley Gardens at Municipal Park and RHS Garden Harlow Carr are both worth a visit. Set within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Harrogate has plenty to offer in the way of countryside. The Three Peaks Walk, Six Dales Trail and the Dales Way take you through the famed valley landscape. Equally awash with arts, culture and history, you can visit The Royal Pump Room Museum, Harrogate Theatre, Harogate’s Royal Hall and of course, you mustn’t leave without a visit to the famous Betty’s Tea Room.
