Great Corby is a village within Cumbria, England. Great Corby is situated directly across the River Eden from Wetheral and the two villages are linked by the Corby Bridge also known as the Wetheral Viaduct. Corby Castle built in the 13th century from red sandstone, sits on the bank side of the River Eden, previously owned by the Salkeld family, but was sold in 1611 to the Howard family where it stayed for 400 years, the Grade I listed building was sold due to financial difficulties. Also here is The Queen Inn and The Corby Bridge Inn as well as Great Corby Cricket Club.
