Dornoch
Dornoch
Dornoch is a town in the north east highlands of Scotland. Situated at the edge of Dornoch Firth which is a National Scenic Area in the Highlands of Scotland. It is a popular seaside resort and there is plenty for the tourist to see here including the 13th century Dornoch Cathedral where famously, Guy Richie and his then wife Madonna had their son Rocco christened. The history of Dornoch is housed in the museum and Dornoch Castle, which has been a school, jail, courthouse, sheriff headquarters, hunting lodge and is now the Dornoch Hotel. Also here is the notable Royal Dornoch Golf Club, which was voted 5th best outside of the USA in 2005.
