Beltingham

Beltingham is a small village in Northumberland, England. Only 10 miles west of the market town of Hexham, Beltingham offers some of the most pleasing stone buildings and pretty gardens making it a very attractive village. Here is the Georgian built Beltingham House which dates back to 1750 and before its current owner, it belonged to the Bowes-Lyon family who enjoyed visits from the Royal Family, specifically the late Queen Mother and Princess Margaret. Within the Church grounds of St. Cuthbert’s you will find The Beltingham Yews, ancient trees significant in age. A male Yew standing alone is still bearing foliage after 900 years and the other two, male & female Yews, which stand together are thought to be 400-500 years old.
