Aysgarth is a village within Wensleydale, North Yorkshire, England. The Village is situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park near to North Allerton and Richmond, is famed for the spectacular Aysgarth Falls, a succession of water falls which formed to join two waters including the River Ure. They featured in the movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and have subsequently become subject to interest from Wordsworth, Ruskin & Turner and today it is enjoyed by many tourists, who also benefit from the Coppice Coffee Shop. The Aysgarth Falls Hotel is a great place to stay and the 17th century George & Dragon Inn a grade II listed building offers authentic charm and ale from the local Black Sheep Brewery. Aysgarth is Eco Cycle Adventures friendly.
