Longtown is a small town, just north of Carlisle Cumbria and not too far from here is the village of Westlington, both in England. Longtown is only three miles from Gretna Green and six miles from Carlisle. Longtown was a planned and designed town, built by Dr Robert Graham of Netherby. On the banks of the River Esk, you will find the largest sheep market in England. Visitors often stop off at the Graham Arms Hotel, first established as a coaching inn.
