Amble is a port town on the east coast of Northumberland, England. It is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet. Amble is an active and self-proclaimed ‘friendliest fishing port’. Just 1.3 km off the coast is Coquet Island, visible from the beach & harbour, an RSVP reserve, this island is home to many species of bird including fulmars, kittiwakes, eider ducks, oyster catchers, puffins and 90% of the UK’s roseate tern population. Other attractions here are, Amble Pier, Amble harbour, The Sundial & Amble War Memorial and Clock in the town square. Amble is Eco Cycle Adventures friendly.
